That is always a good start scythe. Though I myself, every once in a while during a fun conversation when we are joking around, I'll randomly be like EL OH EL, UR MUM! and then we all laugh.

For only being 14, I think i'm more mature than most adults out there >_>
Of course, if a random topic is being discussed, i won't hold back with little jokes and stuff, but if it's a serious conversation, or even a semi-serious conversation at that, my maturity level triples and all jokes stop :P
omg i typed a lot...my fingers hurt:\ lol

I wouldn't say most, but I would give you a quarter. Serious conversations, no jokes indeed, but ya among friends jokes are plentiful and add to the good time.

we have hundreds of them on the driveway....even more in the grass and there are still tons on the trees!!! (and if you step on one the wrong way you wind up with a sore ankle and possible a, uhm, not so pretty fall on your behind )....and the lady who lives downstairs uses a cane and has lots of medical problems (open heart surgery, hip replacement etc).....so I try to keep them off of her side of the driveway...but is almost a loosing battle (not to mention you really have to be careful since those acorns HURT if they hit you on the head!!)

Acorns = free food! don't complain hehe.
I do sometimes go to the woods, and other places, to collect fruit and berries and such, they taste 1000 times better than what you buy, plus you get some nice nature to see

I would not suggest eating the nuts from the trees around here as they have all been sprayed with toxic chemicals to kill bugs, molds, bacterias, etc....and all that gets into the acorns =sick person ...so no, will avoid that here.
Might be lots better over there azzer, but here I dont suggest it.

I'm with cosy there. With all the crap we spray on plants these days, it's amazing we can still eat them...
Fresh ones do taste great but you have to be careful which ones you pick and where you get them from.

One day the government is going to listen to those who want labels on food that says
genetically altered, sprayed with chemicals, and natural.
The reason why there are so many cases of cancer these days is the fact that scientists rather produce supply of products without looking at the quality. These days society doesn't care for the quality of products.
Sometimes I think that scientists are like chinese manufacturing plants. Their in it for the money no matter the consequences.

Organic is also not a reliable choice in all things, remember Cobra venom is organic. 2 more days and I am off to Vermont for a weeks vacation, too bad it seems like you just get there and it's time to come home.

They already do that to a point but most people don't know what it means so it is uneffective. Of course most people just eat what taste good and don't care about whats in it.

Sometimes yes. The healthier stuff always seems to be a bit more expensive so it defeats the purpose of trying to get people to eat healthier. And when it comes to being in a pinch, people will get what is cheaper and not what is healthier.

yeah truth in advertising.....never will happen the way we think about it.
Currently in the USA just about everything you eat has been altered at some point (heck corn is a hybrid itself--it is not a natural plant either)......from chemicals they use for pest control to some that get washed into our water supply, etc....
so there really is nothing here NATURAL any longer, sad to say. You can find more natural foods like the organic however, unless they have been making their own water, using soil food in some far far away stretch of the world, the chemicals that have been used on just about everything else will have gotten into those foods as well.
It is extremely hard to avoid the crap that we humans have put into the water, soil and air.
that being said, I try to avoid the labels with words I can not pronounce or know what they are (this includes high fructose corn syrup which is about as natural as well----, it is not natural and not good for you, really...plain ole corn syrup I can handle, but when they chemically alter its basic structure then nope not going there, sugar is just fine).
this is part of the reason I really enjoyed japanese food while I lived in japan, they dont like to use chemicals et al in their food, heck they dont even like to CAN food--they eat what is currently in season and if its not, its not on the menu. Fresh fruit, picked that day, fresh fish (well)....veggies that were local etc.....food that is very good for you. (except the rice, but heck gotta have some vices right?) (the exception being pickles, they LOVE to pickle foods)
oops another novel, sorry

I'd almost go out on a limb and say that is probably by Michael Moore (I think that is his name). I refuse to watch anything by him anymore after seeing Bowling for Columbine. Why? Because he is about as bias as can be. He only puts in his movies things that make him look like he is right and what he is fighting for is just. Can't stand only seeing a part of the issue. I will not give him anymore money to watch any of his stupid "documentaries."
It's okay cosy, even though it is late at night I still read your novel.
